A Romantic Garden Wedding at the Crane Cottage, Jekyll Island Club Resort

This romantic garden wedding at Crane Cottage was a beautiful and classic affair, celebrating the love of Kaitlin and Chase. Crane Cottage is full of historic charm. It was one of the most elegant and expensive homes built on Jekyll Island in 1917 and is now a bed and breakfast, part of the Jekyll Island Club Resort. This cottage was built in Italian Renaissance style with an enclosed courtyard surrounded by arcaded loggias and massive moss covered oak trees. It also includes a formal sunken garden, a reflecting pool lawn and elegant interior spaces, making it is easily one the most beautifully landscaped and popular venues on the Georgia coast.

With the ability to rent out the entirety of Crane Cottage, this venue is a coastal dream for couples looking to both celebrate and vacation with their friends and family. Kaitlin and Chase opted to rent the cottage and house the bridal party and immediate family for the entire weekend of their wedding!

We kicked off the weekend with a joint welcome and rehearsal dinner at The Wharf. This open-air restaurant is part of the resort and just a short six-minute walk from the cottage. It sits right on the water and was the perfect place for all the guests to mingle, have dinner, and watch the sunset with the bride and groom. The next morning our bride, Kaitlin, hosted a lovely pre-wedding brunch for all the women while Chase made sure the guys got all dressed up in fun outfits and played a round of croquet on the main lawn. Shortly after our couple went their separate ways to start getting ready for the big night!

Back at the cottage, Kaitlin got dressed in a stunning gown from Lovely Bridal Atlanta. Her gown had a flattering corset bodice with a sweetheart neckline. The fabulous piece was made even more amazing by the subtle floral prints all over. After getting ready the couple then did their first look and exchanged private vows under in the front yard of the cottage. There were lots of emotions, you can really feel the love between these two!

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all took place outside amongst the cottage's beautiful grounds. From the front lawn to the covered courtyards, everything was decorated beautifully with a bright garden party color pallet of neutrals, peaches, pinks, ivory, and gold. Once it was time to get the party started we then headed indoors to experience more of this venue's exceptional charm. Our bride had a quick outfit change and the newlyweds hit the dance floor with all their friends and family. Chase even got the DJ at the after-party! This couple was so fun and it was so special to be able to photograph their wedding weekend for them,
